Hanoi (VNA) – The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has made a short film onVietnam, which was broadcast on BBC and CNN television channels.

The 1-minute film was broadcast on the channels in Asia, Europe and NorthAmerica during the second summit between the US and the Democratic People’sRepublic of Korea, which took place in the Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi on February27-28.

With versions in Vietnamese, English, German, French, Taiwanese, Chinese,Korean and Japanese, the film introduced Vietnamese attractions like the MekongRiver, Son Doong cave – the largest known cave located in the central provinceof Quang Binh, the southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City, the central city ofDa Nang, UNESCO-recognised Ha Long Bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh,and Hanoi.  

Vietnam Airlines has been named one of the 10 best companies on the Top 50Vietnam: The Best in 2018 list for the third consecutive year.

Last year,the airline safely conducted nearly 142,000 flights carrying 22 millionpassengers and nearly 350,000 tonnes of cargo. Its on-time performance (OTP)rate was 90 percent. -VNA

🗹 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee.
