Hanoi, (VNA) – National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Nganand a high-ranking delegation of the legislature left Hanoi on the morning of April6 for official visits to Sweden, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
The visits will be made at the invitation of Speaker of the Swedishparliament (Riskdag) Urban Ahlin, Speaker of the National Assembly of HungaryKover Laszlo and President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milan Stech.
This is the first visit of a Vietnamese National Assembly head to Swedenin 24 years, since the visit by then NA Chairman Nong Duc Manh in 1993.
It is also the first of a Vietnamese National Assembly leader to Hungaryin nine years since the trip of then NA Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong in 2008, and thefirst in eight years to the Czech Republic after the 2009 visit of the then NA ChairmanNguyen Phu Trong.
The visits of NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan are aimed at furtherstrengthening the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam andthe three countries in general, and between the Vietnamese NA and its Swedish,Hungarian and Czech counterparts in particular.-VNA
National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan will visit the European countries of Sweden, Hungary and the Czech Republic from April 6-14, aiming to foster ties with the partners, especially in legislation.
The fact that the Vietnamese PM has been invited to attend and speak at this important event for three consecutive years reflects the WEF as well as the international business community's recognition and high regard for Vietnam's position, role, and contributions to global and regional economic growth.
This new era marks a crucial phase in which the country must strive with determination to fulfil its strategic objectives, achieving breakthrough development at new levels of sophistication, quality, and global standing, laying the foundation for further growth. The resolution on such mechanisms aims to serve as a legal basis for opportunely dealing with difficulties and hindrances caused by legal regulations in important, priority, and urgent areas that require immediate settlement so as to unlock resources, facilitate economic development, and turn legislation into a competitive edge.
