Vietnamese leaders have sent congratulatory messages to their Icelandic counterparts on the occasion of Iceland’s National Day (June 17).

Describing Vietnam as one of Lithuania’s leading partners in Southeast Asia, the Lithuanian President showed his delight at the positive momentum in bilateral ties and agreed that both sides should continue to enhance political trust and connectivity through various engagement channels.

More than 280 million opinions from individuals, agencies, and organisations have been collected on the draft resolution on amending specific articles of the 2013 Constitution. With an approval rate of 99.75%, the process reflects strong alignment between the Party’s guideline and public sentiment.

Chairman Man warmly welcomed President Tamas and his spouse, along with the Hungarian high-ranking delegation, on their official visit to Vietnam, assessing the visit as an important event, which takes place at a time when Vietnam and Hungary are celebrating the 75th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations, and affirms the determination of leaders of the two countries in promoting bilateral relations.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra on May 15 during her official visit to Vietnam and co-chairmanship of the 4th Vietnam–Thailand Joint Cabinet Meeting.

Throughout nearly six decades of revolutionary activity, including 26 consecutive years of working as First Secretary and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (1960 – 1986), comrade Le Duan, along with the Politburo and Party Central Committee, steered the nation through some of its most decisive moments. Under his leadership, Vietnam achieved complete national liberation and embarked firmly on the path towards socialism.

Under the leadership of the Party, Can Tho’s military and people launched simultaneous offensives and uprisings, successfully seizing power on April 30, 1975. This made a significant contribution to the Great Spring Victory of 1975, leading to the complete liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.

The Consitution amendment process must be finalised by June 30, with the new legal framework effective from July 1. Communal-level administrative units are to be reorganised and operational by August 15, and provincial-level units by September 15.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man on April 15 attended a meeting to review the organisation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie (APF) Executive Committee’s meeting and the Francophone Parliamentary Forum on sustainable agriculture, food security, and climate change adaptation.

Bac Ninh has nearly 1,600 historical sites and 19 artifacts and groups of artifacts recognised as national treasures. In addition, the province boasts four intangible cultural heritages recognised by UNESCO as world heritage, including Quan ho (love duet) folk singing, Ca tru (ceremonial singing), Huu Chap tug-of-war ritual and game, and the worship of the Mother Goddesses of the Three Realms.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man advised Bac Ninh to invest in building a modern data centre, with a particular focus on developing artificial intelligence (AI), to meet the growing demand for data storage and processing, and optimise investment and operational costs while enhancing flexibility, safety, and data security.

The two sides agreed to continue strengthening close and effective cooperation between the two legislatures in the time ahead.

The Senate President assessed Vietnam as the most dynamically developing country in Asia, a close friend of Uzbekistan with a traditional friendship that has been tested by time, affirming that geographical distance cannot be a barrier for the two countries to develop relations in all fields.
