NA’s Party Committee holds third meeting in preparation for upcoming congress
Up to now, three out of the 11 Party organisations under the NA’s Party organisation have successfully held congresses for the 2025–2030 term.

Hanoi (VNA)🍷 – The Party Committee of the National Assembly (NA) for the 2020–2025 term held its third meeting on June 10 to evaluate its performance in the first half of this year, outline key tasks for the second half, and discuss preparations for the first congress of the NA's Party organisation (2025–2030).

Shortly after the establishment of the NA's Party organisation on January 24, 2025, its Party Committee promptly developed and issued working regulations; received Party members; issued decisions to set up 11 subordinate Party organisations, along with advisory and support agencies; appointed members of the Party Committee and its Standing Board, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee, as well as chairs and vice chairs of inspection committees of the subordinate Party committees, according to a report delivered at the meeting.
At the same time, the working programmes of the NA's Party Committee and its Standing Board, along with the inspection and supervision programmes of the Party Committee and its Inspection Committee were released.

During the first six months of the year, in parallel with the apparatus consolidation and the Party building, the NA’s Party Committee has led and directed the implementation of a large number of political tasks of the NA and the State Audit Office.
In his remarks, Chairman Man said that much needs to be done between now and the end of the term, particularly the works relating to the Party building, the organisation of the second phase of the parliament's 9th session, and the organisation of congresses of the subordinate Party organisations in the run up to the first congress of the NA’s Party organisation, for the 2025–2030 term.
Given this, he urged the NA's Party Committee, its Standing Board, and every member to exert stronger efforts to fulfil their assigned tasks./.
In his closing remarks, NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man highlighted that this session dealt with a huge workload and issues which are both urgent and long-term, strategic. Some issues are new, requiring coordination between agencies for the settlement.
More than 280 million opinions from individuals, agencies, and organisations have been collected on the draft resolution on amending specific articles of the 2013 Constitution. With an approval rate of 99.75%, the process reflects strong alignment between the Party’s guideline and public sentiment.
NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man applauded the growing cooperation between the two legislatures, citing the visit by Senate President Sue Lines and exchanges among parliamentary friendship groups, female and young parliamentarians.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Long spoke highly of the dynamic, positive, and comprehensive development of Vietnam – Russia relations in recent years. He affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State place great importance on further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia in a substantive and effective manner, in line with the development needs of both nations.
At the conference, participants reported that the Government has so far issued 28 decrees on the delegation of responsibilities and powers between the central Government and two-tier local administrations. Several localities have already piloted the new governance model.

Under the official dispatch signed on June 20, ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, and chairpersons of provincial and municipal People’s Committees are requested to concentrate efforts on implementing core measures to ensure the smooth operations of the new administrative framework.
The Party chief underscored the need for the press to innovate relentlessly, evolve to keep pace with the country's development, transform into a truly professional, humanistic, and modern sector that serves the cause of the Party, the State, and the people on the path to national construction and development.
