NA Standing Committee’s 57th meeting scheduled for June 14

The 57th meeting of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee will take place in Hanoi on June 14 and 15, according to a press release issued by the NA Office on June 11.

Hanoi (VNA) -
The 57th meeting of the NationalAssembly (NA) Standing Committee will take place in Hanoi on June 14 and 15,according to a press release issued by the NA Office on June 11.

NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue is scheduled to deliver anopening speech and preside over the meeting in rotation together with NA ViceChairpersons.

As scheduled, the committee will assess a preliminary reportby the National Election Council on the outcomes of the elections of deputies tothe 15th NA and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure.

It will also give opinions on such important issues as theNA's proposed law and ordinance development programme for 2022; the preparation for the 15th NA’s first session; and expected monitoring programmesof the NA and its Standing Committee in 2022.

The NA Standing Committee will decide on a proposal of the appointmentof a Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia. It will discuss a financial caseinvolving the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), and the perfection of the council of justices at the Supreme People's Court.

The committee will also comment on a report on the resultsof the implementation of plans for socio-economic development and the Statebudget in the first six months as well as solutions for the last half of the year./.
