Hanoi (VNA) – The 14th National Assembly (NA) held the last online workingday, which is also the eighth day of its ongoing ninth session, on May 28.
In themorning, on behalf of the Prime Minister, Minister-Chairman of the Government’sCommittee on Ethnic Minority Affairs Do Van Chien submitted the draft nationaltarget programme on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainousareas for 2021-2030.
Chairman ofthe NA’s Council for Ethnic Affairs Ha Ngoc Chien later presented averification report on this submission.
After that,Chairman of the parliament’s Committee for Economic Affairs Vu Hong Thanhdelivered the NA Standing Committee’s report on revisions to the draft law on investmentunder the public-private partnership (PPP), about which discussion followed.
Minister ofPlanning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung clarified some relevant issues thatattracted deputies’ attention.
In theafternoon, Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung, authorised by the PM, submitted aproposal for the NA’s approval of the 2018 state budget balance, on which anaudit report was later presented by Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc.

Later, NAVice Chairman Phuong Quoc Hien delivered a speech concluding online activitiesof the ninth session, which he said were very successful and showed the reform and flexibility of the legislature’s activities.
