Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan hosted areception in Hanoi on January 19 for Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee ofthe National People’s Congress of China Chen Zhu.
Thereception took place on the sidelines of the 26th Annual Meeting ofthe Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF-26).
The hostexpressed her belief that Chen Zhu and high-ranking Chinese delegation’s participationin the APPF-26 will make important contributions to the success of the event.
On theoccasion, she also conveyed her regards to Chairman of the Standing Committeeof the National People’s Congress of China Zhang Dejiang.
Chen, forhis part, believed that with thorough preparations and close collaboration of partiesconcerned, the APPF-26 will be a success, contributing to improving Vietnam’sstature in the international arena.
He saidclose ties between the two legislatures will promote bilateral ties practically.
Both sidesagreed to increase cooperation at all levels to raise mutual understanding andshare law-making experience in the near future.-VNA
