Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Nganreceived Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Catherine Wong Siow Ping in Hanoi onNovember 23, discussing her upcoming visit to Singapore.

Nganacknowledged tight coordination between the diplomat and the NA’s Committee forExternal Affairs and the Foreign Ministry of Vietnam in preparation for theupcoming visit of a high-ranking NA delegation to Singapore.

Thevisit is an activity marking the 45th anniversary of Vietnam –Singapore diplomatic relations, she noted.

Laudingthe growth of bilateral cooperation in economics, trade, and investment, thelegislator revealed that some Vietnamese enterprises working with Singapore andleaders of localities housing Vietnam – Singapore industrial parks are set tojoin the NA delegation’s trip.

Thevisit will be a chance for partnerships and mutual understanding, Ngan added.

Forher part, Catherine Wong Siow Ping said Vietnam and Singapore organised regularexchanges of delegation, particularly high-ranking ones, in recent years.

Theambassador praised the meaning of the upcoming trip to Singapore made the NAdelegation, led by her host, saying it reflects a desire to enhance strategicpartnership between the two countries.
