HCM City (VNA) – National Assembly (NA) ChairmanVuong Dinh Hue on January 26 offered incense to comme☂morate late NA ChairmanNguyen Huu Tho at his house in Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the LunarNew Year (Tet).

Talking with Tho’s first son Nguyen Huu Chau, Hue recalledimportant milestones in the life and career of the late NA Chairman. Wishing the family a happy new year, Chairman Hue expressed his hope that they willcontinue to contribute to the cause of nationalconstruction and protection as well as to theactivities of the NA. For his part, Chau said that he always pays attention to theNA’s activities. He appreciated the NA’s approval of the amended Land Law - amajor law with special significance in the country's political and socio-economic life, as well as to national defence, security, and environmental protection. Hue said the 15th NA has continuously promotedthe work of perfecting institutions and policies with many laws and resolutionspassed to create a transparent and stable legal corridor, thus creating better conditions to ensure legitimate rights and interests ofthe people and to develop the country sustainably. Lawyer Nguyen Huu Tho was born in 1910 in Ben Luc district, Long Anprovince. At the first session of the 7th NA, he was elected NA Chairman andVice President of the Council of State./.
