NA Chairman asks for greater attention to fighting negative phenomena in lawmaking
It is crucial to pay more attention to fighting negative phenomena in lawmaking to prevent “interest groups” of state management agencies benefiting from legal documents, National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue told a virtual conference on November 3.

Hanoi (VNA) – It is crucial to pay moreattention to fighting negative phenomena in lawmaking to prevent “interest groups” of state management agencies benefiting from legal documents, NationalAssembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue told a virtual conference on November 3.
The national teleconference was held to discuss the lawmaking plan of the 15th NA.
Greater attention should be given to protectinglegal and legitimate rights and interests of citizens and businesses, simplifyingadministrative procedures and improving the business climate, Hue said.
Building synchronous development institutions was one of thethree strategic breakthroughs to promote sustainable development set by theCommunist Party of Vietnam since its 11th National Congress in 2011,Hue noted, adding that it continued to be a priority during the term of the 13th National Party Congress and the 2021 – 2030 period.
The NA Chairman demanded leaders of all-level organisations andagencies of the political system and NA deputies to heighten their awareness ofthe role and significance of lawmaking, saying that quality must be the top priority in thisfield.
He stressed the need to tighten discipline and control ofthe process of revising, amending and building laws, ordinances and resolutionswhich must be in accordance with regulations./.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue assessed that in the first six working days of its second session, the National Assembly (NA) had basically completed the proposed programme.
The 15th National Assembly entered its eighth working day of the ongoing second session in Hanoi on October 27, under the chair of NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.
A national teleconference was held on November 3 to implement the Politburo’s conclusion issued on October 14 this year and a project on defining orientations for the 15th National Assembly (NA)’s lawmaking programme.
The rights and legitimate interests of the people and the interests of the nation must be at the centre of the lawmaking process, permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong has said.
