Yangon (VNA)꧙ – The Myanmar government has agreed to four out of eight points demanded by the United Nationalities Federal Council (UNFC), which represents the non-signatories to the Nationwide Cease fire Accord (NCA).

According to U Zaw Htay, Deputy Director-General of the President's Office, in a meeting between the government's Peace Commission and UNFC's Delegation for Political Negotiation (DPN) in Yangon on October 18, the peace commission also agreed in principle to the remaining four points for continued negotiation.
The meeting aimed to consider holding a national-level political dialogue, towards paving way for non-signatory armed groups to complete the signing. The terms of reference, drafted by the representatives from the government, ethnic armed groups and political parties, are yet to be approved, said Tin Myo Win, Chairman of the Peace Commission.
Myanmar will hold nation-level political dialogues in November as agreed at the 21st Century Panglong Peace Conference, according to a decision made at a meeting reviewing the political dialogue framework, which ended in Yangon on October 15. The four-day 21 st Century Panglong Peace Conference, which aimed to unite all ethnic groups in Myanmar and build a democratic federal union through dialogue, took place in Nay Pyi Taw from August 31- September 3. Participants agreed to find solutions through coordination and discussion towards ending the seven-decade-long conflicts in the country.-VNA
