-The agenda of the third working week of the 15th National Assembly (NA)’s seventh session from June 3-8 will focus on many important issues, with a highlight being a question-and-answer (Q&A) session taking place from June 4-6.

Meeting with Permanent Secretary of the Singaporean Ministry of National Defence Chan Heng Kee, Deputy Minister of National Defence Sen. Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien, who is also member of the Party Central Committee and the Central Military Commission, asked the two sides to promote the agreements reached since the two countries’ defence policy dialogue in 2023, and step up cooperation in personnel training, search and rescue, and digital transformation in military.Read full story

-The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on June 1 revealed investigation results of the cases at the Phuc Son Group JSC and Thuan An Group JSC.

Speaking at the Government’s regular press conference, Maj. Gen. Hoang Anh Tuyen, Deputy Chief of the MPS Office, said in the Phuc Son case, the MPS’s investigation police agency has initiated legal action against 23 persons.Read full story

-The country's industrial production index (IIP) is continuing its positive growth pace with an increase of 3.9% over April and 8.9% compared to the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

The GSO said the IIP in the first five months soared 6.8% year-on-year. The index saw a yearly decline of 2% in last year's corresponding period.Read full story

-The Vietnam Festival in Japan 2024 opened at Yoyogi park in Tokyo on June 1 with art and cultural performances and over 130 booths showcasing typical Vietnamese products.

-The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the south-central coastal province of Phu Yen in collaboration with the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, organised a tourism promotion programme on June 1 with the participation of many travel agencies from the province and Kerala state of India.
