- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on December 10 received David Petraeus, a Partner at the Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) global investment firm and Chairman of the KKR Global Institute, who is paying a working visit to Vietnam.

KKR, one of the world's leading investment companies with total assets valued at 528 billion USD, has invested over 2 billion USD in Vietnam through investments into major corporations such as Masan, Vinhomes, Equest, KiotViet, and most recently Saigon Medical Group (MSG). Read full story

- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, and Politburo member, Director of the Office of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee’s Commission for Foreign Affairs and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi co-chaired the 16th meeting of the Vietnam-China Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation in Beijing on December 10.

At the meeting, the two sides expressed their delight at the comprehensive development of cooperative relations between the two Parties and two countries since the 15th meeting held in Hanoi on December 2023. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions and agreed on several measures to effectively implement the common perceptions reached by senior leaders of the two countries to bring the bilateral relations into a new development phase. - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son attended a ceremony in Beijing on December 10 marking 25 years since the signing of the Vietnam-China Land Border Treaty and 15 years since the signing of three legal documents on the land border between the two countries.

The three legal documents are the protocol on border demarcation and marker planting, the agreement on border management regulations, and the other on border gates and regulations on the management of border gates. Read full story

- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Vietnam Society of International Law, on December 10 organised a seminar on the Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ Agreement).

- At its recent 28th meeting, the People's Council of the central province of Quang Tri has passed a resolution to name 40 streets and five bridges in Dong Ha city, including a street named after martyr Luong Nghia Dung – a journalist of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA).

- The Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) announced on December 10 that its member companies sold 44,200 vehicles in November, marking a month-on-month increase of 14%.

Leading the charge were passenger cars, with 34,835 units sold, marking a 15% increase. Commercial vehicles followed closely with 9,017 units, up 9%, while special-purpose vehicles saw a staggering 54% surge compared to the previous month with 348 units sold. Read full story
