More sponsors accompany Vu A Dinh scholarship fund

Several individuals, schools and businesses in the country have pledged to go with the Vu A Dinh scholarship fund for a long term to help poor and gifted students.
Several individuals, schools and businesses in the country have pledgedto go with the Vu A Dinh scholarship fund for a long term to help poorand gifted students.

Representatives of the sponsors and the fund signed an agreement to this effect in Ho Chi Minh City on June 12.

Under the agreement, the sponsors will bring up poor and studious highschool students and grant scholarships to others who are learning atsecondary and high schools.

An art exchangeprogramme themed “Lighting up dreams” will take place at the HCM CityTelevision Theatre on June 15, during which the Vu A Dinh scholarshipswill be granted to students with outstanding study performance duringthe 2012-2013 school year.

The event also aims to honour domestic and foreign sponsors, who have made significant contributions to the fund.

The 2012-2013 school year marked the 14-year operation of the fund,which has so far provided more than 40,000 scholarships to poor and wellperforming ethnic students across the nation.

Thefund has invested in a number of projects to help poor students.Especially, its “Brightening future” project has mobilised socialsources to build a kindergarten in southern Binh Phuoc province and aprimary school in Truong Sa Lon Island.-VNA
