A 25-year-old tour guide residing in Hanoi’s Cau Giay district was confirmed the 39^th patient.

The man had close contact with the 24th COVID-19 patient, who was tested positive for the virus in northern Quang Ninh province, while guiding a group of foreign tourists on a tour to Ninh Binh province on March 4. Five other are from the central Binh Thuan province.

They include two males and one female who had close contact with the 34^th patient, a female directly contacting with the 38^th patient and a man having contact with the 37^th patient.

By 18:00 March 12, Vietnam reported 44 covid-19 patients, 16 were cured and discharged from hospital.
