Moldova seeks to enhance ties with Vietnam

The Vietnamese diplomatvisited Moldova to attend a Francophone seminar on UniversalPeriodic Review (UPR) in UN Human Rights Council (UNHCR).

PM YuriLianke recalled the meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen TanDung on the sidelines of a working session at the UN General Assembly inNew York last September.

Moldova-Vietnam relations havegrown steadily. The two nations have offered each other support atregional and international forums.

Last year’s two-way tradeincreased by 36 percent to 5.1 million USD compared to 2012, however, ithas not yet matched the two countries’ potential and political ties.-VNA
