Miss Ocean Vietnam 2017 launched in HCM City

Women from across the country have been invited to take part in Miss Ocean Vietnam 2017, an event to encourage environmental protection.

HCM City (VNA) - Women fromacross the country have been invited to take part in Miss Ocean Vietnam 2017,an event to encourage environmental protection.

The contest will feature womenaged 18 to 35 who are high school graduates and at least 1.65 metres tall.  

The organisers of the beautyevent said they had invited a group of experts in the field to select 30candidates for the contest’s final round in Phan Thiet city.    

At the semifinals scheduled inearly September, the contestants will compete in the categories of talent,swimsuit, and question-and-answer sessions.

They will also take part insocial and charity activities to encourage people, particularly youth, toprotect the environment and promote the country’s sea tourism.  
American stylist Henri Hubert,who has more than 35 years of experience in fashion, and his staff ofVietnamese designers and models will help lead the contestants during theevent. 

The final night will take placeon October 27 at the outdoor theatre Fishermen’s Show in Phan Thiet.

The winner will receive giftsworth 3 billion VND (nearly 132,000 USD).

The contest’s selective roundswill begin in April in Hanoi and HCM City.-VNA

💛 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee
