A quarantine area is established to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on Truc Bach street of Hanoi (Source: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) –The Ministry of Health on March 13 evening confirmed two more cases testedpositive for the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, bringing the total number of COVID-19patients in Vietnam to 47.
The 46th patient is a 30 year-old woman, residing in Khuong Trung ward in Hanoi’s ThanhXuan district, who served as a stewardess on a flight from London to Hanoi onMarch 9.
On March 10, she got feverand cough. On day later, the patient came to the Aviation Medical Centre forhealth check-up and then was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical DiseaseNo. 2 in Hanoi’s suburban Dong Anh district.
At the hospital, thepatient has been quarantined and had a sample tested positive for the virus.
Later, her sample wasalso tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 by the National Institute of Hygiene andEpidemiology on March 13.
The 47th patient is a 43-year-old woman who worked as home helper of the 17th patient on Truc Bach street in Hanoi’s Ba Dinh district.
Right after her hostesswas confirmed to be infected with the virus on March 5, she was brought to the NationalHospital of Tropical Disease No. 2 for quarantine and sample test.
Both patients are nowin stable health conditions, said the Ministry of Health.
Among the confirmedpatients in the country, 16 had been successfully treated and discharged fromhospitals./.
