Minh wins Kawasaki Vietnam Int’l Series

Top Vietnamese badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh won the men’s singles title of the Kawasaki Vietnam International Series badminton tournament which concluded in Bac Giang on October 2.

Hanoi (VNA) - 🐼Top Vietnamese badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh won the men’s singles title of the Kawasaki Vietnam International Series badminton tournament which concluded in the northern province of Bac Giang on October 2.

Olympian Minh, No 1 seed, beat Malaysia’s Lim Chi Wing, No 5 seed, 21-14, 23-21 in the final match.
Earlier, Minh defeated No 10 seed Chen Chun-Wei of Chinese Taipei 21-13, 21-10 in the semi-final.
Vietnam won two more titles in women’s and men’s doubles, thanks to Vu Thi Trang/Nguyen Thi Sen and Do Tuan Duc/Pham Hong Nam. The tournament attracted the participation of 189 players from 15 countries. Vietnam sent 61 competitors - their largest-ever contingent of players - to the five-day event.-VNA
