Military officers promoted to Senior Lieutenant General
Deputy Minister of Defence Hoang Xuan Chien and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Le Huy Vinh have been promoted from the rank of Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General.

Hanoi (VNA) - Deputy Minister of DefenceHoang Xuan Chien and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’sArmy Le Huy Vinh have been promoted from the rank of Lieutenant General toSenior Lieutenant General.
Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong, who is alsoSecretary of the Central Military Commission and Chairman of the NationalDefence and Security Council and head of the armed forces, handed over thepromotion decisions to the officers at a ceremony in Hanoi on October 16.
Chien said that he and Vinh are proud of receiving their promotions, stressing thatit’s also a source of pride for their families and the Vietnam People’s Army.
Chien added they will overcome all challenges to fulfil missions entrusted bythe Party, State, and Military./.
