Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien on October 22 received agricultural counsellors from various countries to discuss ways to promote trade in agricultural products.
Vietnam imported more than 60,800 tonnes of meat and meat products worth 124.85 million USD in July, a year-on-year fall of 1.1% and 11.2%, respectively, according to the Agency of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In January, Vietnam imported 7,950 tonnes of meat and meat products worth 16.86 million USD from the US, which made it the biggest supplier to the country, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT)’s Import-Export Department.
The demand for imported meat and meat products is unlikely to skyrocket in 2022, according to the Agency of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
