Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak on May 27 started his six-day official visit to China on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of their diplomatic ties.
Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak on May 27 started his six-dayofficial visit to China on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of theirdiplomatic ties.

While in Beijing, the PM is scheduled to havetalks with Chinese leaders and attend the anniversary celebrations ofthe Malaysia-China diplomatic relations on May 31.

The twocountries are expected to sign five memoranda of understanding,including documents on denfence, science-technology and trade, duringthe visit.

PM Najib Razak will hold an economic conference with the participation of Chinese businesses, aiming at boosting cooperation.

Malaysiais China’s largest trade partner in the Association of Southeast AsianNations (ASEAN) for six consecutive years, with two-way trade reaching106 billion USD in 2013.

In addition, the two countries sawcooperation in education and training with about 10,000 Chinese studentsin Malaysia and about 6,000 Malaysian students in China.-VNA
