KualaLumpur (VNA)♊ – Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has affirmed that the government led by the Pakatan Harapan (PH) alliance isworking to re-energise the economy, with the road to recovery nowvisible.

Mahathir madethe statement at the PNB Corporate Summit 2019 themed “Rebooting CorporateMalaysia” on October 30.
💙 The PM saidthat the government has launched crucial reforms to enhance stability,strengthen fiscal management and corporate governance and transparency.

However, hesaid, the government continues to be weighed down by the debt that it wassaddled with by the previous administration, and it will take time to improvethe country’s fiscal situation. The PM stressedthat the government remains committed to undertaking necessary initiatives toachieve the primary goal of restructuring the economy as one that isprogressive, knowledge-based and empowering to Malaysians. To achievethis, Mahathir said it is imperative that the private sector takes the lead asa key driver of the economy. Thegovernment leader also asked Malaysian firms to reboot themselves and integrateinto the changing business environment./.
