Hanoi (VNA) – ꧃The search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, which vanished 11 years ago, has resumed.

Malaysian Minister of Transport Anthony Loke told the press on February 25 that the British marine robotics company Ocean Infinity has started what would likely be the final search for MH370 despite not having finalised a contract with the Malaysian government.
Last December, the Malaysian government announced its approval for a new search for the plane. The contract, valid for 18 months, stipulates that Malaysia will pay Ocean Infinity 70 million USD if the aircraft is found. If the search is unsuccessful, the country will adhere to the no find, no fee principle, similar to the unsuccessful search conducted by Ocean Infinity in 2018. On March 8, 2014, the Boeing 777, carrying 239 passengers and crew, disappeared from radar while en route from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing, China. The initial search efforts by Ocean Infinity began after a large-scale search led by Australia was suspended in January 2017 following three years of unsuccessful attempts. With the search operation being the most extensive in aviation history, the fate of MH370 remains a mystery to this day./.
