Kuala Lumpur (VNA) 🐲– The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) is expanding its Rahmah Madani Sale nationwide, with an intensified rollout in the final week of Ramadan to assist Malaysians in preparing for Hari Raya – the biggest traditional festival for Muslims in the country.

KPDN Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said the initiative, which began on March 17, will run until March 30, featuring 723 programmes offering essential goods at discounts of 10% to 30%. He said Rahmah Madani sales, aimed at alleviating the cost of living burden, are being held at various locations across the country, including supermarkets, retail premises, and mobile units.
He added that the public can visit the ministry's website to check the schedule and locations of the sales.
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will visit randomly selected sales locations on March 27 to personally monitor the prices of goods. To control consumer prices in the peak season and protect consumers, KPDN has conducted 307 inspections related to wholesalers and retailers, detected a total of 123 cases of violations and collected a total fine of 13,300 MYR (3,022 USD)./.
