General Director ofthe Department Aloyah Mamat said the arrested individuals, comprising of30 men and 170 women, are between 20-40 years old. They are fromIndonesia, Pakistan, Thailand and several other countries.
Aloyah said her agency conducted a joint crackdown on February 8 withthe participation of 220 staff and volunteers from the country’s policeagencies, the N ational Registration Department , theAnti-Corruption Commission, the Civil Defence Department andthe Ministry of Public Health.
The department hasso far carried out 438 events to hunt down illicit immigrantsnationwide, capturing 3,550 people and 30 unlawful employers./.
