Major drug ring busted in Singapore

The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) of Singapore announced on April 16 that it had arrested five drug traffickers and seized a variety of drugs with an estimated value of 360,000 SGD (255,000 USD).

Singapore (VNA) – The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) of Singaporeannounced on April 16 that it had arrested five drug traffickers and seized avariety of drugs with an estimated value of 360,000 SGD (255,000 USD).

Five Singaporeans, including three men and two women, alllive in Yishun, considered one of the five least safe places in Singapore foryears.

CNB officers seized 3.67kg of heroin, 2,100 ecstasy tablets,4,100 erimin-5 tablets, and 33,550 SGD in cash.

According to a report by the CNB, the office detected 28drug trafficking rings in 2019, arresting 3,524 drug traffickers and users, andseizing an amount of drugs worth 6.52 million SGD./.
