The Australian travel website Qantas Travel Insider has recently listedworld heritage Luang Prabang town in Laos among the world's 11 mostromantic wedding destinations.

Luang Prabang, ranked fifthin the list, retains the rare charm of another era, with traditionalwooden houses alongside grand colonial mansions, and a daily processionof monks through the ancient streets.

It is also home to dozensof temples, many of them beautifully decorated and golden clad, castingan almost surreal glow at sunset, stated the website.

Pariscame first, followed by Maasai Mara in Kenya, Monte Carlo in Monaco, andRavello in Italy in the list of Qantas Travel Insider, one of theworld’s leading travel publications, which is home to over 6,000 onlineexclusive city guides, features and galleries.

In 2015, the leading British travel magazine Wanderlust named Luang Prabang as the world’s best city to visit.

Wanderlust readers previously ranked Luang Prabang as “best touristdestination” for three consecutive years from 2006-2008.

Currently, the authorities of the province are preparing to celebratethe 20th anniversary of Luang Prabang as a World Heritage Site.-VNA
