Vientiane (VNA) -♕ The plenary meeting of the 11th Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) took place in Vientiane from November 9-16.
Party General Secretary Choummaly Sayasone chaired the event, which reviewed preparations for the 10th National Party Congress in 2016.
The event’s participants said they valued preparations for organising the Party Congresses of Ministries and sectors in Vientiane and across provinces nationwide. They gave opinions on draft reports that will be presented at the upcoming National Party Congress.
Participants gave their opinions on modifications to the draft Political Report, the Socio-economic Development Plan (2016-2020), the Socio-economic Development Strategy (2015-2025) with a vision to 2030, the draft Party Regulations and those related to personnel arrangements for the 10th Party Congress.
At the Congress, the LPRP Central Committee called on the Party, people and armed forces to unite to overcome difficulties. They needed to promote national construction, defence and patriotic movements in order to help the country escape underdevelopment by 2020.-VNA
