Level-2 field hospital No.4 staff under training stage
An online training course on international humanitarian law and identification of explosives for staff of the Level-2 Field Hospital No.4 opened on July 19.
Hanoi (VNA) - An online training course on international humanitarian law and identification of explosivesfor staff of the Level-2 Field Hospital No.4 opened on July 19.
The event, which will last to July 23, is held by the Vietnam Department ofPeacekeeping Operations in conjunction with the Military Medical Department,the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) andrelevantagencies.
This is the first profession training course for the hospital’s staff withinthe framework of UN peacekeeping training activities before they perform their missionin Bentiu, South Sudan.
During the course, ICRC experts provide trainees with basic and essential knowledgeon international humanitarian law, and guide them to handle some situationsrelating to explosives left by conflicts./.
The second and last group of staff of Vietnam’s Level-2 Field Hospital No. 3 has departed for the United Nations’ peacekeeping mission in South Sudan from Ho Chi Minh City on April 21.
A transport aircraft C17 of the Royal Australian Air Force on April 24 safely landed at Hanoi-based Noi Bai international airport, carrying 32 out of the 63 staff members of Level-2 Field Hospital No.2 who had finished their tenure in South Sudan.

Staff members of Level-2 Field Hospital No.2, who had finished their tenure in South Sudan, and officers joining UN peacekeeping operations paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh during a ceremony held by the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations in Hanoi on June 29.

From “Thanh nien”, Vietnam’s first revolutionary newspaper founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc (later President Ho Chi Minh) on June 21, 1925, the revolutionary press has remained devoted to its sacred missions -accompanying the nation, serving the Fatherland, and working for the people.
