Hanoi (VNA) – The National Assembly (NA)voted on a resolution approving the 2020 state budget final accounts, with90.96 percent of deputies saying “yes,” during its third sitting in Hanoi onJune 15.
Also in the morning, the legislators scrutinised thedraft revised Petroleum Law, which comprises 11 chapters with 64 articles.
The bill aims to enhance the state management’seffectiveness and efficiency in the field, remove barriers, and create afavourable legal corridor for investors, thus helping improve the investmentclimate in the oil and gas sector.
At the end of the discussion, Deputy Minister ofIndustry and Trade Dang Hoang An gave further explanations on the document.
In the afternoon, the deputies voted on the draftrevised Law on Cinematography and the draft revised Law on Emulation andCommendation, both sailing through the legislature with the majority ofapproval votes.
The draft law amending and supplementing somearticles of the Law on Radio Frequencies was also tabled for discussion, duringwhich most of the deputies agreed on the need and scope of the amendments andsupplements.
Minister of Information and Communications NguyenManh Hung clarified issues of the legislators’ concern.
The legislature is scheduled to vote on a draftresolution on piloting vocational training for inmates outside prisons, the lawamending and supplementing some articles of the Law on Intellectual Property,the revised Law on Insurance Business, along with a number of resolutions, onJune 16, also the last day of the meeting.
