Latin America Film Week to begin in Hanoi next week

The fifth Latin American Film Week will take place from October 9-14 at the National Cinema Centre in Hanoi.

Hanoi (VNA) - The fifth LatinAmerican Film Week will take place from October 9-14 at the National CinemaCentre in Hanoi. 

The week will screen films from ten countries,namely Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Chile, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay andVenezuela, organisers said at a press briefing on October 6.

Venezuala’s Ambassador to Vietnam Jorge Rondon Uzcategui saidfilm lovers in Vietnam will have a chance to enjoy prominent films in differentgenres such as documentary, comedy, mainstream and cartoon, among others.

The event also presents an opportunity for locals to enjoyand understand more about the culture of each nation in Latin America.

A representative from the Embassy of Argentina in Vietnamsaid Vietnamese viewers will see cultural similarities and differences betweenLatin American nations and Vietnam.

Venezuela’s film “Love and Baseball” by Luis Carlos Hueck isset to open the week, which will continue with Cuba’s “Moral Lesson”, Haiti’s“Beautiful Life”, Panama’s “The Check”, Brazil’s “If I Were You”, Argentina’s“Taxi Bomb”, Mexican “Gold Dream”, Uruguay’s “Big Guy”, Peru’s “Rodencia and atooth of the princess”, and Chile’s “Violeta To The Heaven”.-VNA
