Youth from the Lao province of Savanakhet and Vietnam’s Quang Triprovince are boosting cooperation to maintain peace and friendship inborder areas.
Youth unions from the twoprovinces held a meeting on July 27 in the Huong Hoa district of QuangTri as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between thetwo provinces to increase exchanges and meetings to share experiences.
On the occasion, a joint group of volunteer youthto maintain peace and friendship at border areas in Huong Phung communeand Thanh commune in Huong Hoa district was unveiled.
The two sides pledged to increase voluntary activities and mutualassistance as well as coordinate to prevent immigration, humantrafficking, drug trafficking and cross-border smuggling.-VNA
