The Laos - Vietnam Joint Venture Bank (LaoVietBank) on August 15 was awarded the Lao state’s first-class Labour Order on the occasion of its 25th founding anniversary, in recognition of its contributions to the socio-economic development of Laos over the years.

Sixty-eight outstanding collectives and individuals of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) were honoured with rewards of the Lao State and Ministry of National Defence at a ceremony in Hanoi on September 26.

The Thai Nguyen University of Education in the northern province of Thai Nguyen on October 26 received the Lao State’s Order of Friendship for its contribution to cooperation in human resources training for the country.

The Lao State has recognised significant contributions of collectives and individuals in Vietnam’s northern Thai Nguyen province to training human resources for the Lao northern provinces of Luang Prabang, Phongsaly, Luang Namtha, and Oudomxay.

Governor of Champasak province Bounthong Divixay on November 13 presented the Order of Independence of the Lao State to leaders of Vietnam’s southern Dong Nai province for their contributions to Vietnam – Laos relations.

A total of 43 volunteer soldiers and experts in the central province of Quang Binh were presented with orders and medals of the Lao State at a ceremony in Dong Hoi city on November 1.
