State President Luong Cuong met with Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone in Vientiane on April 25, as part of his two-day state visit to Laos.

Vietnamese State President Luong Cuong and Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone agreed to further foster political trust through the continued exchange of high-level visits, bilateral cooperation mechanisms across various sectors and the effective implementation of high-level agreements.

The Vietnamese legislature will continue to coordinate with its Lao counterpart in perfecting the legal framework, supervising the implementation of bilateral cooperation agreements, and promoting joint initiatives at regional parliamentary forums, contributing to realising the goals of the two countries, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said.

Highlighting Laos's vast potential for trade and investment cooperation, Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone said that Laos is an attractive investment destination, particularly in agriculture, tourism, logistics, and infrastructure development.
