Hanoi (VNA) –💛 Lao PrimeMinister Thongloun Sisoulith has sent a message of sympathy to PM Nguyen XuanPhuc over serious human and asset losses in Vietnam’s central region caused by stormNoul.

In the message, the Lao PM, on behalf ofLao Party, State and people, extended his deepest sympathy to the Vietnamesepeople, especially those who were directly affected by the storm. “The Lao Government and people will alwaysstand side by side with the Vietnamese Party, Government and people during timesof hardship and highly value the Laos-Vietnam traditional friendship, specialsolidarity and comprehensive cooperation,” he wrote. Storm Noul, the fifth in the East Sea thisyear, made landfall in Vietnam’s central region on September 18. As of September 20, the storm left sixpeople dead and 112 others injured; 13 houses completely collapsed and 22,716others damaged; 3,888 ha of rice and vegetables submerged; and 105 ha of aquaticfarming ruined. Meanwhile, 16.5 km of coasts and riverbanks were eroded, and 36km of roads were damaged, most of which have beenre-opened for traffic as of September 20 morning./.
