Hanoi (VNA) – Party General Sec🅠retary and President of Laos Bounnhang Volachith sent a letter to Vietnamese leaders at the end of his Vietnam visit on April 27 to thank them for their warm reception during his visit from April 25-27.

In the letter, addressed to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Tran Dai Quang, the Lao leader expressed his firm belief that the outcomes of the visit and sincere discussions between the two countries’ leaders will significantly contribute to fostering the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples, bringing practical benefits to the two peoples.
He wished that the fraternal Vietnamese people, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, will continue scoring greater achievements in the national renovation, construction and development, particularly in realising the resolution adopted by the 12 th National Party Congress, towards building Vietnam into an industrialised country by 2020 for the goal of a wealthy people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilisation.
During the visit, Party General Secretary and President Bounnhang Volachith had meetings with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Tran Dai Quang, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, during which the two sides extensively discussed ways to further promote bilateral ties as well as regional and global issues of shared concern.
