Lao NA to hold extraodinary session on key issues

Several key national issues will come under consideration at the second extraordinary session of the Lao parliament this month.

Vientiane (VNA)ไ – The ninth-tenure National Assembly (NA) of Laos will convene its second extraordinary session from March 17 to 20 to deliberate several key national issues, its Standing Committee announced on March 11.

During the session, lawmakers are set to discuss and approve amendments to the Constitution, the Law on Local Governance, and the Law on Civil Servants. They will also review the Government's organisational structure.
Additionally, the session will address an investigation report on special policies for investors in the industrial sector. The National Assembly will also review some key items, including the approval of the 2025 Public Governance Improvement Report, amendments to the Local Governance and Civil Servant Laws, the Government's administrative work, and the investigation report on special policies for industrial sector investors./.
