Lao leaders welcome VFF delegation

At the meetings, aspart of his ongoing visit to Laos from Nov. 24-28, the VFF leadersuggested that the two sides strengthen cooperation in front work andexchanges as well as diversify forms of friendship between localities,especially those sharing the borderline.

Heaffirmed that the Vietnamese Party, Government, VFF and people arealways proud of the Vietnam-Laos special friendship, solidarity andcomprehensive cooperation that was fostered by President Ho Chi Minh andPresident Kaysone Phomvihane as well as generations of the twocountries’ leaders and people.

The VFF will do its utmost to bring the bilateral ties to a new level of development, he stressed.

The Lao leaders expressed the wish that in future, the two countries’front organisations will strengthen the exchange of information,experience and mutual support as well as educate all people, especiallyyounger generations, on the tradition of special solidarity betweenVietnam-Laos.

Lao Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongsavanh Phomvihane affirmed that the presence of Vietnamese press offices in Laos vividly demonstrates the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations, as the press is not only a means of communication but also an important bridge for spreading consciousness about the history, values, and strategic depth of the Laos – Vietnam relationship to the people of both countries and the international community.
