Kremlin: Meeting between Russian, US presidents possible

Hanoi (VNA)– Russian President Vladimir Putin is likely to meet US President Donald Trumpat the APEC Economic Leaders Meeting in Vietnam’s central Da Nang city nextweek, a Kremlin spokesman said.

Discussion ofa possible meeting between President Putin and his UScounterpart Trump at the APEC meeting next week is underway, said Kremlin PressSecretary Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov told reporters on November 3 that:"We do not rule out the possibility of holding such a meeting, and it isactually being coordinated now."

As soon as all details are clarified, acorresponding announcement will be made, he added.

Peskov stressed that the importance of anycontact between the Russian and US presidents and its significance "in allinternational affairs can hardly be overestimated."

On November 2, the US President stated that hecan hold a meeting with the Russian leader during a Pacific Rim visit.-VNA
