Hanoi (VNA) - Author Hwang Sun-mi from the Republic of Korea, whose worksare loved by Vietnamese readers, will meet with fans in Hanoi and HCM City.

Shewill talk with readers, sign books and talk about writing for children and theworld of animals in children’s literature in Hanoi on November 24 and HCM Cityon November 26. The talk shows, organised by Nha Nam Company, will includeVietnamese authors like Vu Thi Thu Hang and Ta Thanh Tan.

Hwangis a beloved writer in the RoK, where she has won many awards and publishedmore than forty books enjoyed by adults and children.

Shewas born 1963 and started writing in 1995. She is best known for her fable TheHen Who Dreamed She Could Fly, which has also been made into a successfulanimated film in South Korea entitled Leafie, A Hen into the Wild.

Herbooks translated into Vietnamese include The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly,Friends in Sun-rising Valley, The Blue Hairy Dog and The Bad Boy Stickers.-VNA
