Kazakh Parliament’s Lower House Speaker Zhakupov Kabibolla Kabenovichbegan an official visit to Vietnam on March 29 at the invitation ofNational Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.
Attalks held the same day, Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung welcomed the visit ofthe Kazakh Parliament’s Lower House leader and his attendance at the132nd Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly (IPU-132), which is animportant diplomatic event for Vietnam.
He affirmed that the Vietnamese NA and people wish to deepen the ties between Vietnam and Kazakhstan.
He suggested the two sides work together to increase the bilateraltrade to 240 million USD in the near future, noting that the free tradeagreement (FTA) between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union(EEU) will open huge cooperation opportunities for the two countriesonce it is signed.
The Vietnamese National Assemblyand Government will create favourable conditions for Kazakh businessesto operate in Vietnam, he said, adding that the visit is expected toset off closer cooperation between the two countries’ parliaments, notonly in exchanging law-making experience but also supporting at regionaland global parliamentarian forums
Meanwhile, theKazakh lawmaker suggested the two countries actively promote cooperationin engineering, shipbuilding and industry.
He invited Vietnamese businesses to attend the EXPO-2017 in Kazakhstan to expand trade ties with foreign partners.-VNA
