Judo team heads to China to train for Olympics in Brazil

The Vietnamese judo team have left for China for a short training course to secure tickets for the upcoming 2016 Summer Olympics.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnamese judo team have left for China for a short train♕ing course to secure tickets for the upcoming 2016 Summer Olympics.

The team includes martial artists Van Ngoc Tu (women’s 48kg), Nguyen Thi Quynh (52kg) and Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy (52kg) and coach Le Duy Hai.
After the training course finishes on April 10, the team will compete in the Asian Judo Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on April 14-17.
Vietnam hopes that the three athletes will earn slots to Brazil this summer. At present, nine Vietnamese athletes have secured a berth for the Olympics that will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from August 5 to 21.-VNA
