Japanese professor honoured by Da Nang University

Da Nang (VNA) – President of the University of Da Nang (UDN) Tran Van Nam on March 22 presented t🍷he title of Honourary Doctor t🦄o Professor Hitoshi Yamada from Japan’s Yokohama National University on March 22.

Being a leading construction expert in Japan , he has contributed to the development of Vietnam and Da Nang city through technology transfer projects for the construction of cable-stayed bridges, as well as signing an agreement on human resource and academic development between Yokohama and Da Nang cities.
He also proactively enhanced ties between the University of Da Nang and Yokohama National University in the fields of training, research, academic exchange and project building.
In 2013, Hitoshi Yamada received a certificate of merit from the Vietnamese Government for his major contributions to international education. The Japanese professor said that he will continue supporting the traditional friendship between two the nations while fostering bilateral cooperation in numerous fields, which helps elevate relations between the two cities in particular and the two countries in general to a new height.-VNA
