Japanese embassy holds exchange with Quy Nhon university students

A delegation of the Japanese Embassy to Vietnam and the Japan Student Services Organisation (JASSO) in Vietnam had an exchange with administrators and students of Quy Nhon University in the central province of Binh Dinh on November 28.

– A delegation of the Japanese Embassy to Vietnam andthe Japan Student Services Organisation (JASSO) inVietnam had an exchange with administrators and students of Quy Nhon Universityin the central province of Binh Dinh on November 28.

The exchange focused on issues related to Vietnamese students studying in Japanand the prospect of promoting cooperation between the two countries in thefield.

Itattracted the participation of over 1,000 students, parents, and lecturers fromuniversities, colleges, and high schools in the locality.

Quy Nhon University trains a large number of human resources in biotechnology,electronics, construction, and software each year.

At the same time, vocational schools and colleges in Binh Dinh province alsotrain many medical staff, nurses, and mechanical workers – occupations in whichJapan is in great demand for.

According to the second secretary of the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam Chuman Ai,who led the delegation, JASSO – under the Japanese Ministry of Education,Culture, Sports, Science and Technology – is the leading support organisationfor students, especially in providing loans and scholarships for internationalstudents.

Vice Rector of Quy Nhon University and Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hientook the occasion to ask the embassy to provide support for the university’s Japanese Language and Culture Centre, particularly books and native teachers.

Atpresent, the centre organises several Japanese language training courses andshort-term vocational training courses, as well as activities to promoteJapanese culture in Quy Nhon, contributing to attracting investment from Japanto the locality and promoting labour exports to Japan. –VNA
