Hoa Binh (VNA) – A working delegation from Japan’s Yamanashi prefecture led by its Governor Koutarou Nagasaki visited the northern province of Hoa Binh on January 14.
The two sides introduced theirrespective natural and social conditions as well as potential, strengths, andinvestment cooperation opportunities.
Koutarou said HoaBinh shares a lot of similarities with Yamanashi such as proximity to the capitaland abundant water resources, especially hot spring sources.
He added that Yamanashi is able to develop power based on its water resourcesand it has strengths in fruit cultivation, manufacturing industry,mechatronics, jewelry and wine making, and tourism.
The governor hoped the two localities will combine their strengths to gainmutual benefits in economic development.
He said his prefecture will consider investment opportunities in HoaBinh after the working session.
Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh voiced the wishto cooperate with Yamanashi in tourism, agriculture, education, andmanufacturing industry.
Hoa Binh province also proposed the Yamanashi Governor considerproviding Hoa Binh with vocational training equipment, training support and humanresources training to serve labour export to Japan./.
The programme “Colours of Japan”, which will be aired on VTV3 of the Vietnam Television (VTV) from January 19, is expected to bring unique experiences for Vietnamese audience on the early days of 2018.
Ho Chi Minh City authorities will support enhanced cooperation with Japan’s Yamanashi prefecture, especially in tourism, automatic technology, and high-tech agriculture, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan said on August 29.
Japan’s Ikai Group organised a festival for its Vietnamese apprentices and engineers in Yamanashi prefecture on October 20, gathering over 300 participants.
The Vietnamese embassy in Tokyo hosted a banquet on December 13 to thank Japanese ministries, agencies, businesses and individuals for their support for Vietnam – Japan friendship over the past years.

In particular, in April 2023, the two sides successfully carried out a joint operation that dismantled a major organised, transnational drug trafficking ring involving both Vietnamese and Cambodian suspects.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel is closely coordinating with relevant local agencies to stay informed and provide the utmost support possible for Vietnamese nationals.
