The ancient town of Hoi An, in the central province of Quang Nam, has launched a pilot plan on building the first zero plastic and pedestrian streets, as part of the project to create an eco-city, based on cultural and sustainable tourism, with a vision to become a ‘green’ and ‘smart’ city by 2050.
Facing the possible collapse of the 400-year-old Cau Bridge, a symbol of Hoi An city, the central province of Quang Nam, and a popular destination among tourists, local authorities have announced they will soon put a limit on the number of visitors touring the site.
Over 100 Vietnamese and Japanese scientists, experts and managers gathered in Quang Nam province's Hoi An city on Aug. 16 to discuss the restoration of Chua Cau – a tourist attraction in the locality.
