Hanoi (VNA) – The Liberal Democratic Party ofJapan (LDP) wants to boost affiliation between its youth division and Vietnam’sHo Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, said Suzuki Keisuke, Director of the LDP’sYouth Division.
The Japanese official made the statement at a meeting with Headof the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education VoVan Thuong in Hanoi on December 31.
He said his party always treasures the relationship with theCommunist Party of Vietnam and stressed the importance of increasing youth exchangesin enhancing Japan-Vietnam ties.
Expressing his excitement to revisit Vietnam when the twocountries’ relations are thriving, Suzuki pledged to do his best to contributeto boosting the ties, particularly in promoting Japanese investment inVietnam.
For his part, Thuong took note of progress made in bilateralengagements in all fields, including those between the two ruling parties aftertheir signing of a cooperation pact in September 2015.
Agreeing with his guest, he recommended delegation exchangesbetween the two parties, particularly between their young leaders and parliamentarians.-VNA

The fact that the Vietnamese PM has been invited to attend and speak at this important event for three consecutive years reflects the WEF as well as the international business community's recognition and high regard for Vietnam's position, role, and contributions to global and regional economic growth.
