The competition is organized withthe aim of encouraging the spirit of startup and innovation in the field ofInternet of Thing (IoT) among young people and the startup community in Vietnam,and at the same time support the incubation of IoT firms.
Through thecompetition, young intellectual people and startup community can get acce🃏ss totechnological development trend and the market’s real demand from technologydeveloper as well local and foreign enterprise association.
According to Le Bich Loan,acting president of the SHTP, the format of the competition has been changedfrom previous editions. Specifically, several big companies such as Intel,Here.com, Dien Quang, Lap Thanh and Acis have put up challenges for competingstartups based on their own development demand.
Besides prizes totalling over500 million VND (over 21,380 USD), winning startups will receive support duringtheir experiment of products and sign contracts with enterprises proposing theproducts.
First held in 2016, the IoTStartup competition has attracted more than 240 projects s🍌o far. Followingtheir participation in the event, many 🎀startups have successfully called forinvestors. -VNA
A key highlight will be the technology cluster pavilion, showcasing top enterprises selected for their innovation, market potential, and practical applications. These firms will display flagship products and solutions, supported by government policies to strengthen the tech sector.
Since 2022, more than 500 Vietnamese startups have engaged in Google’s Startup Academy, Google for Startups Accelerator, and Google Startup Masterclass. Nearly 100 of these firms received support to develop and improve their products, benefiting more than 300,000 customers and creating over 300 new jobs through successful fundraising and team expansion amidst Vietnam’s competitive economy.
Over the past three decades, Binh Duong has cemented its status as one of Vietnam’s most dynamic industrial hubs, building a robust foundation in manufacturing, exports, and investment. The province now has 30 operational industrial parks spanning over 13,000 hectares, with an occupancy rate exceeding 90%.

Vietnam views sci-tech as a decisive factor in national development and a key tool for achieving sustainable development goals, and is ready to boost sci-tech cooperation with Venezuela for mutual prosperity.
