QuangNam (VNA) - The 4th Hoi An International Food Festival wrapped up in Hoi An ancient city in the central province ofQuang Nam on April 14.
The four-day festival attracted ten chefs from Germany, France, Japan, HongKong, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam.
Apart from having the opportunity to try Hoi An’s traditional dishes cookedwith different styles, visitors were also treated to art performance held everynight during the event.
Hoi An was once a renownedinternational trade port in the 17th century where ships from Japan, China, andEuropean countries docked to exchange wares.
Covering 60 sq.km, Hoi An has 22.5 sq.km ofagriculture and forest land and 11 sq.km of lakes and channels.
Hoi An city was honoured by the World Associationof Chefs as Vietnam’s Capital of Culinary Arts and Cuisine.
HoiAn’s cuisine culture has been attractive to Vietnamese and foreign visitors. HoiAn food has also been honoured by prestigious magazines and websites.Meanwhile, cooking in Hoi An wasalso named among the top 10 international travel experiences by Lonely Planet.-VNA
The second week-long Hoi An International Food Festival will take place from March 20 with the participation of 12 international chefs showcasing their countries’ culinary specialties made with herbs and ingredients from Hoi An.

The third Hoi An International Food Festival 2018 - “Taste the World” is taking place in Hoi An city, the central province of Quang Nam, from March 11-17.
